Keith Ellison & Bombing Syria
Congressman Keith Ellison says it would be a good idea for the U.S. military to attack Syria (although that would mean fighting on the same side as Al Qaeda), for the stated purpose of upholding "international norms."
When did bombing other countries become an international norm? Violating the U.N. Charter to seek vigilante justice by escalating an uncontrollable war, causing unknown death and suffering, is not what people have in mind when they think about elected officials representing the good will of the people of Minnesota.
Ellison co-chairs the Progressive Caucus, which has failed to take concerted action against this looming war -- a failure that has enabled war advocates to move the debate toward broader military engagement.
Ellison has thrown his support behind bombing Syria.
