Don't let TV networks suppress the vote on Tuesday
MSNBC's Chris Matthews recently declared that on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern time, MSNBC and other TV networks plan "to announce that Hillary Clinton has now gotten over the top, that she will have won the nomination in numbers. It's done."*
In reality, Clinton can't reach a delegate majority unless "superdelegates" vote, and they can't vote until July.
To TV News Executives (at MSNBC, NBC, CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS):
We urge you NOT to suppress the vote on Tuesday evening by making the false and anti-democratic declaration that the Democratic nominee has been determined — unless a candidate has actually won 2,383 pledged delegates.
