A consensus is developing that it's high time the impeachment begins. It sure is. And it needs to be done right.
Trump has apparently angered members of both major parties in Congress with his latest outrage, outlined in our Article of Impeachment #21.
With Congress blocking the shipment of certain weapons to Saudi Arabia, the Trump administration has declared an "emergency" in order to violate the will of Congress and provide the weapons anyway. These are weapons to be used in the killing of civilians in Yemen -- a war that Congress has voted to end U.S. military participation in through a bill that Trump has vetoed.
While Trump had previously used a false emergency-power-grab to spend money on a border wall that Congress had forbidden, this new abuse could finally push Congress to the point of defending itself and its Constitutional authority to appropriate funds.
Here's where you can click to email your Representative to finally move -- based on this new affront to the Constitution – to impeach the President.

In Europe some nations have ended weapons sales to Saudi Arabia. Others have seen shipments blocked by labor unions refusing to load them on ships. If there is any emergency in Yemen, it is created by the fact that Saudi Arabia has not yet run out of weapons. But U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claims to justify an emergency with the supposed need "to deter Iranian aggression."
Pompeo provided no evidence of Iranian aggression, but President Trump and his subordinates have in recent weeks been engaged in actions that might provoke "Iranian aggression," including threatening attacks on Iran, moving troops and weapons to the region, declaring part of the Iranian military to be a terrorist organization, producing allegations against Iran widely doubted even by U.S. officials, and -- indeed -- providing weapons to Saudi Arabia.
Hoping to appease Congress, Pompeo called this emergency declaration "a one-time event." But this was not the first false emergency used by Trump, and there is no reason to suppose it will be the last -- if he is permitted to remain in power.
