Juyeon Rhee is the coordinator for the Stop THAAD in Korea (STIK) peace delegation visiting South Korea this week and hosted by the National People’s Action to Stop the Deployment of THAAD in South Korea.
Please click here to ask the president of South Korea to allow Juyeon Rhee to enter the country.
THAAD is the missile system that the United States is trying to install in South Korea despite public protests there. The nonviolent "Candlelight Revolution" in recent months has impeached a militarist president and put in place a new president who has indicated a willingness to oppose U.S. militarism.
The STIK delegation includes prominent peace activists from the United States and the support of a long list of prominent figures and organizations.
But South Korea has prevented Juyeon Rhee from entering the country or even boarding a Korea-bound flight at LaGuardia Airport in New York.
Please click here to sign a petition to President Moon Jae-in:
In the spirit of the candlelight revolution we urge you to fulfill your pledge to eradicate problems left over from the previous administration, champion democratic rights including freedom of expression without fear of reprisal, and immediately lift the travel ban imposed on Juyeon Rhee by the previous administration.
After signing the petition, please use the tools on the next webpage to share it with your friends.
