The Commonwealth of Virginia plans to kill Ricky Gray on January 18, 2017. Gray was convicted of the horendous crime of murdering four people. Ray Dandridge, who was also convicted, was given life in prison.

Until Gray was 11 years old he was raped on a daily basis by his older brother and beaten by his father, who used metal weather stripping, a horsewhip, PVC pipe, and a belt. Gray was using PCP several times a week by the time he was 12. The jury that sentenced Gray was told there was absolutely no explanation for what he did.

Click here to send this letter to Governor Terry McAuliffe:

As a constituent I urge you not to kill Ricky Gray, but to commute his sentence. Gray was brutally abused for years as a child, and was self-medicating with drugs at the time of the crime. He cannot possibly make any restitution to anyone while dead. We cannot teach private citizens to solve their problems without barbarism while the state engages in it. Most of the world and the country has left off this horrible practice and so should Virginia. Courage on this one will be rewarded. Don't be an executioner.
