Click here to help free Leonard Peltier, the longest held political prisoner in United States history.
This is our last chance to ask President Obama to do this.
Leonard Peltier was convicted of murder on what is widely believed to have been "cooked" evidence. He had been extradited from Canada on the strength of affidavits that U.S. government prosecutors later admitted were coerced fabrications.

Peltier has been in prison for over 40 years. He is suffering from cancer and should be pardoned, at the very least for humanitarian reasons.
Peltier has been held because the FBI insists on punishing him for an act he did not commit and for the legal and nonviolent activism he did commit.
For information on this case, see Incident at Oglala -- a film narrated by Robert Redford.
