Donald Trump, even while threatening to bomb countries, has said he wants peace and an end to overthrows. But he also says he wants to increase the world's biggest military budget -- a step that has always led to more, not fewer wars.
He's also surrounding himself with, and is considering for possible nominations, hardcore warmongers, people like Michael Flynn, Mike Pompeo, Keith Kellogg, and James Mattis. Here's a Mattis quote:
"It’s a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually it’s quite fun to fight them, you know. It’s a hell of a hoot. It’s fun to shoot some people.”
Don't delay. Click here to stand up for peace. We'll be delivering this petition to Trump's transition office as a means of announcing our resolve to resist any and all wars to come.
We began this effort before the election. This is not partisanship. This is principle. This is a peace movement the world needs us to build.
Please take a few seconds now to get your name on this petition to the Popular-Vote Loser of the United States:
We call on you to end perpetual war by the United States Government. As signers of this petition, we commit ourselves to building nonviolent pressure to end continual U.S. warfare. We also reject our country's bloated military spending and massive arms sales that make the USA the world’s leading arms trafficker by a huge margin.
