The NSA is watching us online and tracking who we call. It's breaking encryption codes to access our most private communications. It's creating a climate of fear, chilling free speech and violating our basic human rights.

And the NSA is conducting its surveillance without any meaningful oversight.

But a movement is building to change all of this. And we're about to take the next step.

On Sat., Oct. 26, thousands of people from across the political spectrum will unite in Washington, D.C., to say:

Enough is enough. Stop watching us.

StopWatching.Us — a diverse coalition of more than 100 public advocacy organizations and businesses, including the ACLU, Access, Demand Progress, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Fight for the Future, the Free Press Action Fund, FreedomWorks, Mozilla, the National Libertarian Party, reddit, Restore the Fourth, Thoughtworks, and RootsAction.org — is organizing the biggest protest of the NSA’s surveillance programs to date. Will you join us?

Here are the details:

WHAT: Stop Watching Us: Rally Against Mass Surveillance
WHEN: Sat., Oct. 26, 12–3 p.m.
WHERE: TBD, Washington, D.C., check http://stopwatchingusrally.eventbrite.com
WHO: You and thousands of others fighting to restore our privacy

More than 560,000 people signed the StopWatching.Us petition, and dozens of members of Congress have introduced bills to rein in the NSA.

Now we need to take the next step and raise our voices.

At the rally, we'll remind our elected officials that they work for us, not the NSA. We need Congress to reform the laws — like the Patriot Act — that led to the NSA's abuses, and we need to hold the NSA accountable for its anti-democratic programs.

On Oct. 26, we’ll stand up for change — and we’ll deliver the half-million petition signatures to Congress.

This will be the biggest rally for privacy the U.S. has ever seen. Will you be there?
