The U.S. Congress has condemned the inexcusable Hamas rocket attacks but refused to voice the slightest criticism of the Israeli government for dropping thousands of tons of bombs on people in Gaza.

On July 11, the House passed -- by voice vote with no objections -- H Res 657, expressing "United States support for the State of Israel as it defends itself against unprovoked rocket attacks."

On July 17, also by voice vote without objection, the Senate passed the nearly identical S Res 498.
