RootsAction: Connect. Act. Grow.

RootsAction is very pleased to invite you onto this national call Tuesday evening to challenge the power of big money in politics!

We all feel it:
the system is broken. The monied few control our economy and our politics.

We all see it: the chasm of systemic racism and economic inequality. Our catastrophic failure to live up to the promise of equality for all makes it hard to believe in the promise of the American dream.

The power of money has corrupted the system and the system won’t fix itself without massive structural change. That’s our goal: an American Promise Amendment that fundamentally changes how we fund our elections so all Americans have a voice.

Join June 30th: Breaking the Grip of Big Money with
Nina Turner and U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna

June 30th we invite you and millions of Americans hungry for change, from American Promise, Our Revolution, and RootsAction, to join two of the biggest change makers around: Nina Turner and U.S. Representative Ro Khanna (CA-17), Bernie 2020 campaign co-chairs.

Get fired up as Rep. Khanna and Nina Turner delve into how we break big money’s grip on our political system and the movement for historic reform fueled by people-powered campaigns.

Register for the June 30th Zoom call here.

We’re done with the old corrupt, unjust system and building a better one. Join us with Nina Turner and Rep. Khanna on June 30th and let’s win this fight!

P.S. Real change means everyone. Americans are united on the American Promise Amendment: Save the date for American Promise’s conversation with conservative supporters on July 28th, including AP Board member Jim Rubens, former State Senator for New Hampshire and our friends at Take Back Our Republic.

Known for her inspirational speaking style, Nina Turner is a cable news commentator and defining political icon. She is national co-chair of the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign, led the grassroots organization Our Revolution, is a former state senator from Ohio and former professor of African American history. While serving in the Ohio Senate, Turner sought to find common ground with Republicans and Independents and to find paths for reconciliation between long-dueling interests. U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) stands at the vanguard of national progressive politics, serving as First Vice Chair of the House Progressive Caucus and co-chair of the Sanders presidential campaign, while remaining committed to bipartisan problem-solving in Washington. A member of the House Oversight Committee, Ro has worked for greater government transparency and on the House Armed Services Committee, fighting against special interests and their monopolistic behavior, tackling private companies that gouge from our defense budget and jack up the cost of our national security.
