Reproductive Rights, Voting Rights, Immigration, LGBT Equality, Workers’ Rights. It’s all on the line. Any and every civil liberty we hope to have in this country could be dismantled or blocked by the Supreme Court – unless the Senate mounts a defense and stops Trump’s Supreme Court takeover.
This second Supreme Court justice from Trump would do lasting damage for generations to come. That’s why we’re telling all Senators: “Hold firm. Do NOT confirm!”
Here’s just a short list of how another Trump-appointed justice could irrevocably change everyday life in America:
- Overturning Roe v Wade to jeopardize women’s health and return us to the days of lethal “back-alley” abortions.
- Repeal marriage equality for LGBT families, and further erode housing, employment, and healthcare discrimination protections for LGBT+ people.
- Accelerate the systematic erosion of unions and their ability to advocate for workers against greedy corporations and modern-day industry barons like the Koch brothers.
Everything is on the line. Which is why we must place as much grassroots pressure on the Senate as possible to stop Trump’s nominee. Please click here to sign the petition, and then share it with everyone you can by forwarding this email.
