The party’s “Unity Reform Commission” has made final recommendations that include reducing the number of notoriously undemocratic “superdelegates” by 60 percent. (At the 2016 Democratic National Convention, one out of seven delegates were superdelegates, and dozens of those were corporate lobbyists.)
Another proposed step forward is to democratize primaries and caucuses with same-day registration and same-day party-switching.
