A grassroots movement is on the rise in Florida to place a state Voting Restoration Amendment on the 2018 ballot and restore voting rights to felons who have served their time. You have the power to help.
Reentering society is difficult no matter what state you live in, and Florida is by far one of the toughest. Florida is one of only four states that takes away someone's ability to vote for the rest of their lives if they are convicted of a felony. In other words, even after an individual has paid their debt to society, their right to vote is revoked for life unless personally pardoned by the Governor and the Cabinet.
This has dire consequences for the 1.7 million people who can't vote for their elected officials in the state of Florida.
If you believe that individuals who have served their time should have their right to vote restored, click here to sign our petition.
After signing the petition, you will be directed to a page that includes a very important additional step that you should take if you are a registered voter in Florida.
Please print, fully fill out, sign, and mail in the ballot petition that you find there. This is key to putting the amendment on the ballot in Florida.
After signing the petition, please also use the tools on the next webpage to share it with your friends.
This work is only possible with your financial support. Please chip in $3 now.
