Starting on Inauguration Day seven months ago, RootsAction.org has been at the forefront of nationwide work to impeach President Trump. Now we’re urging you to participate in a renewed effort to end the horrific Trump presidency.
By clicking here, you can quickly and directly tell your member of Congress to impeach Trump.
As one of the two organizations co-sponsoring the Trump impeachment petition that now has more than 1.1 million signers, RootsAction is committed to ousting this corrupt, unstable, bigoted and extremely dangerous man from the White House.
We must insist that members of Congress confront Trump’s repeated winks and nods to racists, anti-Semites and all-around bigots -- represented by the Nazis and KKK supporters who terrorized peaceful protesters in Charlottesville days ago.
Ever since the start of the Trump presidency, his violations of the Constitution’s foreign and domestic emoluments clauses have been impeachable offenses. By mid-spring he had engaged in flagrant obstruction of justice.
Yesterday -- referring to events in Charlottesville -- Trump made numerous abhorrent statements at a news conference. For instance, he declared that there were “some very fine people on both sides” in a conflict where violent advocates of racism and anti-Semitism attacked nonviolent opponents of bigotry.
Trump's numerous statements condoning and encouraging both bigotry and violence, dating back to before his election, as well as his response to Charlottesville, have been praised by white supremacists.
You can do two things right now to push for an end to the Trump presidency:
