Debbie Wasserman Schultz has finally driven the Democratic National Committee off a cliff.

She tried to minimize debates between her chosen candidate and Senator Bernie Sanders.
She tried to hide those debates on Saturday nights and other times of low viewership.
She tried to deny the Sanders campaign access to its own voter files.
She has publicly promoted the idea that Hillary Clinton's platform is that of the Democratic Party.
Under Wasserman Schultz's leadership, superdelegates have handicapped the race for Clinton so that Sanders must win by a 500 delegate margin if he is to win the nomination.
Under her leadership, the Democratic Party has refused to release the actual results of the Iowa caucuses, possibly denying Sanders the media boost of a victory.
And now, finally, with many of these steps appearing to backfire, Wasserman Schultz has doubled down, leaning all her weight onto Hillary's side of the scale. The DNC has now removed restrictions created by presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2008 on "donations" from federal lobbyists and political action committees.
The move could bring even more big donor cash into the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint DNC/Clinton fundraising committee. But it may backfire against her campaign and the Democratic Party and the U.S. electoral system as a whole. Clinton's negatives in public polling (many more people view her negatively than positively) make it difficult for her to win a general election, and this step may worsen that problem for her if she is the party's nominee.
Polling shows overwhelming and unprecedented distrust for the U.S. government, distaste for the two big parties, and demand to clean the money out of politics. Why is the head of the DNC taking steps to turn the public away from her party?
