America’s Retirement System Replaces a Declining Share of Pre-Retirement Income – The Solution: Expand Social Security!
Click here to sign a petition that is part of a major new movement to make this happen.
Research by the Economic Policy Institute shows that Americans are less likely to retire in their 60s than their counterparts in other countries.
This is largely because in other countries, the retirement system replaces enough income for people to survive decently.
The U.S. shift from traditional pensions to do-it-yourself retirement savings plans such as 401(k)s has contributed to financial insecurity for millions of current and future retirees.
The solution is for the U.S. Congress to pass legislation that expands Social Security benefits and ensure a more secure retirement for all, not just the wealthy few.
Please sign the petition to the U.S. Congress today calling on them to act on behalf of all current and future retirees.
