Here come three new Obama nominees, and they could all be nominees in a contest for Least Likely to Serve the Public Interest.
For Secretary of Commerce, President Obama has nominated Penny Pritzker, a billionaire heiress and campaign funder with a fiercely anti-labor record. She would be the wealthiest cabinet secretary in U.S. history, and her shady business dealings reportedly cost her this nomination in Obama's first term.

For Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Obama has nominated Tom Wheeler, a campaign funder and a former lobbyist for telecom corporations that appear before the FCC. Wheeler is also a venture capitalist invested in and profiting from corporations whose requests he'll have to decide on. Comcast has cheered for Wheeler's nomination.

For trade representative, Obama has picked Michael Froman, an advocate of destructive corporate trade policies back to the Clinton-NAFTA days, as well as of the Obama-era corporate trade agreements with Korea, Colombia and Panama, not to mention the NAFTA-on-steroids Trans-Pacific Partnership that the White House hopes to see ratified this fall. Prior to joining the Obama Administration as Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs, Froman worked for Citigroup.
