You live in a district represented by a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. But most of the 70 members of that caucus haven't signed an urgent new letter making a vital commitment.
That letter says: "We will vote against any and every cut to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security benefits -- including raising the retirement age or cutting the cost of living adjustments that our constituents earned and need."
Please take a half-minute to click here and tell your member of Congress how important it is to make this pledge now to protect Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
Two weeks ago, Congressmen Alan Grayson and Mark Takano initiated the letter. It's a breath of progressive fresh air. But only 16 members of the Progressive Caucus have signed it.
You can quickly send an email to your member of Congress with a crucial message. Rhetoric is no substitute for a commitment to vote against any effort to cut the social programs that are the difference between life and death for so many Americans.
Send a message now to emphasize that belonging to the Progressive Caucus isn’t enough. We need progressive action to protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
