If the Bush administration's rush to war in Iraq still makes you angry, please watch (and share) this appearance by Roots Action's Norman Solomon on yesterday's Democracy Now!, marking the 10th anniversary of Secretary of State Colin Powell's infamous United Nations speech pushing for war.

In his Democracy Now! debate with Colin Powell's then-chief of staff, Solomon expressed the revulsion millions of Americans feel for the dishonesty and duplicity that led to the carnage in Iraq – and that still promotes a militarist foreign policy today.

If you haven't taken action already, please speak out about Obama's nominee to head the CIA: drone warfare enthusiast John Brennan. Brennan, who has denied the documented truth that U.S. drone strikes are killing many innocent civilians, is being questioned today in the Senate.

At the end of the Democracy Now! segment, Norman Solomon and Powell's aide, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, seemed to agree that Brennan is the wrong person for the CIA job. Wilkerson commented that with the drone attacks "we are creating more enemies than we're killing."

Take action against the Brennan nomination now, and please forward this email widely.
