Help create a new world this October.
We've marched and we'll keep marching.
We've voted and we'll keep voting.
We've emailed and phoned, protested and rallied, educated and organized. And we won't stop.
But we need something else as well.
We cheer when we see it in Egypt or Spain, Tunisia or Wisconsin. Nonviolent resistance to governments gone mad is the most powerful tool available, and we need it as badly as any other nation.
On October 6, 2011, the war in Afghanistan begins its second decade. In October 2011 the new federal budget kicks in, cutting essential programs while funding more wars and tax breaks for billionaires.
Will you join those planning to be in Washington, D.C., on October 6, and to leave only when we've begun to turn things around?
You will want to be able to say you were there.
It starts by committing now and spreading the word. Pledge to be there at: http://october2011.org.
And, please spread the word by forwarding this to your friends and family.
